Ulzana

The Mimbrenos under their chief Ulzana have built an irrigation system thereby making an area in the desert fertile. They celebrate Thanksgiving. One guest is general Crook, chief commander in Arizona and a friend of the Apaches, as he likes to point out. An explosion destroys the irrigation system, and Ulzana is severely wounded during a fight with the Tucson people. He is believed dead. Now the Mimbrenos are supposed to move to a desert-like reservation of San Juan.

The Apaches manage to escape from their reservation and flee to the Mexican Sierra Madre. But Captain Burton holds Leona, the wife of the chief, in captivity. Ulzana breaks into Fort Craig in order to free her, but Burton kills her and flees to the mountains. Ulzana finds him and takes revenge according to the laws of his tribe.
